SAN FRANCISCO – October 8, 2026 – Camus Energy, software provider of the fastest and most flexible path to power for AI Data Centers, today announced a collaboration with Black & Veatch, a global engineering, procurement, consulting and construction company, to enable the flexible interconnection of data centers to the power grid.
The rise in AI has led to an unprecedented demand for power across the United States and traditional interconnection approaches are not sufficient to meet the challenge. The current situation requires new solutions that can address the demand as well as the planning rigor, transparency and reliability standards expected by customers, communities and regulators.
Camus Energy and Black & Veatch’s Infrastructure Advisory team are collaborating to accelerate the adoption of transmission-level flexible interconnection solutions across North America. By combining Camus Energy’s flexible grid connection software, data harmonization and planning methodology with Black & Veatch’s capabilities in transmission planning, systems integration and change management, the companies intend to create a scalable framework that utilities can confidently evaluate, implement and operate.
"Utilities have trusted Black & Veatch for decades, and by combining that institutional expertise with Camus' innovative grid software, grid planners can turn current infrastructure into highly utilized reliable assets. Together, we're helping utilities safely unlock existing grid capacity, enabling them to connect large electric loads years faster without compromising reliability or passing those costs onto communities," said Sarah Colvin, Executive Vice President, Revenue at Camus Energy.
